Match Preview: Norwich vs Stoke

The Potters look to bounce back to winning ways after an unfortunate loss to Preston.

With the international break now officially over Stoke are back in action to face an out of form

Norwich side who have lost their last 2 games on the bounce.

Here’s everything you need to know about The Potters upcoming fixture against The Canaries.

Team News

With the transfer window coming to a close it would be hard to argue that The Potters haven’t had

an excellent transfer window. 17 players have been brought in who all possess different attributes to help Stoke efficiently attack, defend, and crucially change tactics.

One of the biggest complaints about the Stoke squad last season was the lack of adaptability.

However, Neil has now brought in new faces from Wesley to Bae who will certainly help Stoke

change tactics mid game.

One player who will look to make his first start of the season is Junho Bae who was full of energy

after coming off the bench against Preston. Bae helped Stoke to drive the ball forwards and get up

the pitch something which The Potters were lacking against The Lilywhites.

Newest signings Junior Tchamadeu, Lynden Gooch and Sead Haksabanovic will also be hoping to get their first starts of the season.

Lynden Gooch looks to have the potential of becoming a Stoke fan favourite. Although Gooch may

lack amazing technical ability his work effort certainly makes up for it. Passion and resilience are the fundamentals of Gooch’s style of play and a never give up attitude is something Stoke fans don’t turn their nose up at.

19-year-old Junior Tchamadeu looks to be an excellent player for the future. Winning League Two

Young Player of The Season with Colchester last season, Tchamadeu comes with an excellent CV this early on in his career. Although he is still young, his CV suggests he can adapt quickly to a change in level with him making his debut for Colchester at 16 and going on to make 95 appearances.

Sead Haksabanovic looks to have bags of technical ability and someone who will be an excellent player for The Potters. Haksabanovic posses not only great movement on the ball but off the ball as well. Defence splitting passes, cutting inside from the left-hand side and scoring are all traits which come natural to Haksabanovic.

Predicted Starting XI against Norwich:

(GK) Travers, Wilmot, McNally, Hoever, Pearson, Laurent, Burger, Bae, Campbell, Wesley

The Manager

David Wagner find himself in a rut after two losses on the bounce. However, Wagner has had a

positive start to the season with Norwich being involved in a 4-4 thriller against Southampton and

thrashing Wagner's former side Huddersfield 4-0.

Goals are certainly not a problem for Norwich with The Canaries being the top scorers in the league so far.

Wagner has really improved Norwich’s attacking structure which ensures there is a player in each

horizontal zone. This helps to strectch the opposition's defence which creates gaps. A combination of overlaps and underlaps will make it hard for Stoke to mark the forwards.
