We are Stoke along with it's Community Group Action Versus Poverty Stoke, is delighted to announce that we secured funding from Stoke on Trent City Council to continue our work in the local community.
We managed to secure £3,116.64 in funding from the council's local Winter Food & Essentials Supply Fund. This went directly towards supporting numerous local charities from March 2022.
The grant which was provided by the Department of Work and Pensions provided a lifeline to new and existing charity partners that we have worked with in Stoke on Trent, with thousands of items being purchased.
Upon receiving the grant from the council, we visited local discount stores and wholesalers, to purchases thousands of goods which were evenly distributed between 9 sub-categories. These included but were not limited to: Non-Perishables, Fresh, Electrical, Bedding & More.
None of this would've been possible without the support of our fantastic community. You have shown unconditional support towards our charitable efforts since we started them in 2020, and thanks to the help of the local council, and the Department of Work and Pensions, we were able to give those in our community, a leg up when it truly mattered!
